Note to off-campus users: Use

1.1 or higher when accessing our site for EBSCOhost database access. Remote access is limited to DMACC students and staff.
- At the library homepage, select the desired category under FIND
ARTICLES.
- Click on the name of the EBSCOhost database you want to search.
(To search more than one database at the same time, click on EBSCOhost
Web and select EBSCOhost Web or EBSCOhost Español. Select
all the databases you want to search and click on the Continue button.)
Descriptions of the databases are provided below.
- When the search screen displays, type a topic or keyword in the first
text box. Phrases should be enclosed in quotation marks (e.g.
"hurricane katrina"). Capital letters aren't necessary.
You can
narrow your search to a specific field by clicking on the arrow to the
right of the text box and selecting the field you want to search.
Type additional concepts or keywords in the text boxes provided if you
have more than one idea you want to include.
- Under "Refine Search" use the limiters provided to retrieve the type
of resources you want.
Click in the Full Text box to retrieve full text
articles only.
Click in the Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) box if you need articles from
scholarly research journals.
Select additional limiters as needed. (If you are searching
multiple databases, you can select special limiters for each database
individually.)
- Click on the Search button.
- From your result list, click on the title of any article you want to
view. Read the short summary (abstract) of the article to decide
whether you want to see the full text.
- Click on HTML Full Text or PDF Full Text to view the full
text of the article.

Click on Print. (Note: Don't
use your browser's Print button.)
When
the Print Manager screen displays, click on the Print button. (The
citation with full text is automatically selected.)
When the Print Dialog box displays,
click on the Print or OK button.
Click on Back in the top left
corner of the screen to return to the article display.
Click on Result List to return
to your search results.

When the article window displays,
click on the printer icon in the toolbar at the top of the window.
When the Print Dialog box displays,
click on the Print or OK button.
Click on Citation to close the
window and return to the citation display, or click on Result List
to return to your search results.

When you are finished searching EBSCOhost databases, click on DMACC
Libraries Online at the upper right corner of the screen to return to
the DMACC Libraries' homepage.

Academic Search Elite
Covers all areas of academic study. Offers full text for over 2,000
periodicals, including more than 1,500 peer-reviewed titles.
Business Source Elite
Provides full text for over 1,000 business journals, including nearly
500 peer-reviewed business publications.
- CINAHL
Provides indexing (not full text) for over 1,700 nursing and allied
health publications for professionals, students, educators and
researchers.
ERIC
Abstracting and indexing for journal articles and documents in
education and education-related fields. Full text for recent documents is
available online.
- Health Source-Consumer Edition
- Full text articles from over 300 journals providing consumer
information on many health topics, including medicine, food and nutrition,
childcare, sports medicine and general health.
- Health Source-Nursing/Academic Edition
- Provides more than 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many
medical disciplines. Includes abstracts and indexing for a total of 850
titles.

Abstracts
Indexes periodicals, books, research reports and proceedings in
library and information science.- MagillOnLiterature Plus
- Includes all of the Masterplots series from Salem Press, as
