Welcome to
DMACC
Libraries Online Des Moines Area Community College |
You must have a current library account to borrow materials or to access our subscription research databases from remote sites. (Remote database access is limited to DMACC students, faculty, and staff.) Library accounts are valid for the current and following semester, and may be renewed if you are still an eligible library user.
If you have an official College ID (DMACC OneCard), you may register for a library account using the barcode number on the back of the card. This card is issued to all credit students as of the Fall 2008 semester. The OneCard will then serve as your library card.
If you have not been issued a DMACC OneCard, we can create a library account for you and provide you with a library card.
The DMACC Libraries participate in the State Library of Iowa's Open Access program, which allows borrowing privileges to cardholders at all participating libraries. If you wish to apply for an Open Access card, you must do so in person at one of our campus libraries.
Online (DMACC Students and Staff Only):
Online submissions are normally processed in batches from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, and 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday when the Ankeny Campus library is open. We are closed on Sundays and major holidays, and also evenings and Saturdays during semester breaks.
